Tips & How-To Make: Baked Tortilla Chips

Who doesn’t love tortilla chips? These are baked to a crisp and are a crunchy and healthier alternative to the real restaurant-style chips. Serve with salsa and a margarita, and you are ready for a fiesta!

Ingredients:

  • 4 Medium-Size Low-Carb Tortillas
  • Juice of ½ a Lime
  • Kosher Salt
  • Cumin
  • Chili Powder

Directions:

To prep the chips, begin by taking the tortillas and stack them one on top of another. Then, take a pizza cutter and cut them in half, then into quarter triangles from that.

Now, place the triangles on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper. Take half of a lime and squeeze the juice into a bowl. Use a brush to lightly brush each triangle with the lime juice.

After each of the triangles has been brushed, sprinkle lightly with salt, cumin and chili powder. Place in a 350-degree oven for 12-15 minutes. Be sure to check the chips during the cooking time to ensure they aren’t burning.

Once the chips are done, they are ready to be served with fresh salsa. Enjoy!
